This Gibson Joe Walsh Collector’s Choice Limited Edition 1960 Les Paul Reissue is an exact replica of Joe Walsh’s actual 1960 Sunburst Les Paul. It every detail and specification of his original guitar has been measured and replicated with a Tom Murphy Aged nitrocellulose lacquer finish. This particular guitar is just in on consignment and in immaculate (factory original) condition with the hard case, certificate, etc… The knobs on the guitar now are 50’s style because the current owner preferred that look, but the original reflector knobs are in the case. This guitar has also has a professional Plek fret dress so that it plays perfectly with the lowest possible action. Like all our used / vintage gear this has been tested for functionality and priced to move. Sold as-is. What you see is what you get.

The vintage Gibson Les Paul electric guitar is the holy grail! It features the ideal combination of beauty, tone and playability. CustomBucker pickups in this Limited Edition Replica of Joe’s original Tangerine Burst guitar deliver true vintage PAF tone. The neck is attached using hide glue, which many argue sounds better than synthetic glue. The Gibson Custom Shop also re-engineered many features for added vintage authenticity: Such as the truss rod, truss rod washer, and anchor, now in their original form as well as the vintage-accurate Aniline dye finish on the mahogany back and sides and spot-on binding color that make the Gibson Custom Shop Joe Walsh 1960 Les Paul one of the most accurate artist reproductions ever.
The road-worn look of this Gibson Custom Joe Walsh 1960 Les Paul was replicated in detail by Tom Murphy THE world-renowned leader in guitar aging and finish restoration. Tom Murphy perfected his aging process as a way to revive old instruments without making them look unnatural. For this guitar he has created a spot-on re-creation of Joe’s original Les Paul down to the dings, nicks, and worn-off finish on the back.
Gibson also paid just as much attention to the Joe Walsh 1960 Les Paul’s electronics as they did to its aesthetics. Beginning with vintage CTS potentiometers and bumble bee capacitors, every part of its internal signal path is designed to give you absolutely dead-on ’60 Les Paul tone. Of course, it’s next to impossible to find genuine ’50s PAFs so the Custom Shop Joe Walsh 1960 Les Paul sports a pair of Gibson’s CustomBucker humbuckers. The CustomBucker is the most historically accurate PAF copy ever. You just won’t find another Les Paul that comes as close to the original look, sound, and feel of this ’60 Les Paul!
